NAME  Cal Kifli AGE  Mid/late-20s BORN  Summer JOB  Weaver | Adventurer (DNC . RPR) Personality Highlights: • Generally speaking, he's a positive person. Fairly optimistic and altruistic. Values life and happiness above all else. • Very interested in frivolity and the unnecessary. Not in a way that celebrates the excess, but rather he finds it fascinating and interesting and tends to lean into it. • He has a "treat yo'self" mentality and is glad to lend his own resources to ensure others can have nice things that, again, would bring them happiness. • Despite supporting the material and frivolous with fervor and intensity, he has a pretty weak personal attachment to the material world for himself, often times selling or giving away his belongings. • Cal doesn't like fighting, but he understand that sometimes it is necessary to protect that which is important. He could lay his life on the line, but he's very anti-getting-yourself-killed. • He's a fairly physical person; in particular, he's likely to touch and feel clothes or fabrics. • Does not like the cold. • Disagrees with pretty much all the Dotharli ideology. Quirks • Despite his love for weaving, Cal is still a fighter. From his time as a Xaela warrior, he is excellent with a scythe, but picked up chakrams after arriving in Eorzea, delighted by their elegance. • Cal embroiders, and usually has a hoop and working project on his person. • He also tends to judge people on their clothing. G'raha? EASY A+, that man has got DRIP. Estinien? So, so stinky. So much not!cloth. • He also just seems to have a thing for red heads. • Cal can read the common language (Steppe Xaela very rarely know how to read) although he doesn't care for reading as an activity. • Most likely, Cal has a Raen father who was never in his life, but it did give him a weird blue tongue. First impressions. Visual. As the savage raiders say: "use eyes." But if that sounds like nonsense: yes, Cal is partially covered in scales from tip to toe, and his skin probably feels a bit on the tougher side. He has dark sclera and limbal rings which glow somewhat and pretty much overpower his pink irises. Regarding the stripe over his eyes, I'm undecided if it's a tattoo or just face paint; whatever the case he wouldn't be caught dead without it. His tongue and mouth are dark, low-saturated blue. His tail is long and narrow with spines at the end. Fashion. It's best not to assume he's wearing any specific outfit. He prefers comfortable, natural fabrics with high visual appeal. He also likes to dress to match the local culture. Cal doesn't "need" glasses, he just likes to wear them, and is particular to a style of rectangular, semi-frameless reading glasses. Demeanor. I don't know how else to say it except he holds himself with a "gender neutral" posture, and seems very comfortable in his own skin. He's expressive and, as he's grown older, polite enough to reserve his opinions as necessary. Aural.
